From the very beginning, God has been coming to make His home with us—from the tent in the wilderness, to the Temple in Jerusalem, to the hearts of believers today. So, if God feels distant, if you feel unsettled, if something is missing from your life - invite Him in. He’s only a call away. Make Him a part of your life – no, make Him your life. His presence is the difference between a house and a home. He wants to fill all the empty parts of your life, just like He filled the empty Temple with His glory.

If God started with the Old Testament, so why shouldn't we? Though Jesus didn't come along for thousands of years, God was pointing to Him from the very beginning. He was painting a visible picture so we could understand what was to come.

For the sake of unity and peace, God wants us to give preference to others. It's not that we are unimportant. We're all equally valuable in the eyes of God. But by treating others like they are more important, we are taking the focus off of ourselves and putting it on them.

We can't manipulate, coerce, or force God to do what we want, and we shouldn't want to. He knows what's best. So, ask Him. Then, work in cooperation with Him to bring about the outcome that He desires.
