He's the only one with the power to act on our behalf, to bless and discipline according to our way. From the very beginning, God has been coming to make His home with us—from the tent in the wilderness, to the Temple in Jerusalem, to the hearts of believers today. So, if God feels distant, if you feel unsettled, if something is missing from your life - invite Him in. He’s only a call away. Make Him a part of your life – no, make Him your life. His presence is the difference between a house and a home. He wants to fill all the empty parts of your life, just like He filled the empty Temple with His glory.

If God started with the Old Testament, so why shouldn't we? Though Jesus didn't come along for thousands of years, God was pointing to Him from the very beginning. He was painting a visible picture so we could understand what was to come.
